4th Meeting / 14 - 18 October 2019
The work of the 4th meeting of the European Erasmus+ Programme 2018-2020 entitled "Food Ethos EDucation in Schools " was held in Kosice, Slovakia, on 14-18/10/2019.
It was Slovakia's turn to welcome the participants of the above-mentioned programme from Turkey, Cyprus, Spain, Velestino Magnesia and Aiani High School. This meeting was attended by 9 teachers and 10 students from the schools of the above countries.
Aiming at healthy eating as a new lesson in schools, students presented at this meeting the effect of nutrition on the human body and focused on creating a recipe for healthy foods and snacks at school.
Teachers and pupils were warmly welcomed by the Mayor of the city and by the Principal of kosice school, who spoke of the importance of the programme and the need for all European peoples to adopt an intercultural culture.
At kosice's hospitable school, the partners' missions visited the Western Carpathians, known as High Tatras and the Solivar salt mine, participated in a variety of activities and workshops aimed at the origin and preparation of food and enjoyed traditional meals with traditional goulash soup and local food prepared by the parents of the slovak school students, explaining their history, origin nutritional values.
Following the program teachers and students, hosts and guests, in working meetings determined the next actions, moves and tasks that should be done to produce the desired result of the program.
On the last day, after renewing their appointment for the next meeting in February in Larnaca Cyprus in which they will write the Recipe Book with meals from the past and present of partner countries, students and teachers left for their place with beautiful memories of this meeting.
